SUMMARY:From Manual to Modern—Extending PeopleSoft Financials Automation with GT eForms
DESCRIPTION:In this Lunch & Learn session\, Bupa’s PeopleSoft Support and Development Senior Analyst\, Kirsty Dixon\, will share how her team leveraged GT eForms to extend automation within PeopleSoft Financials. Kirsty will provide a brief overview of the 11 forms Bupa has implemented so far and then dive deeper into two payment-focused use cases. \nThis session will demonstrate how an existing Accounts Payable payment form—previously dependent on technical resources for development and maintenance—was successfully redeveloped using GT eForms. This transformation shifted ownership to the functional team\, enabling Bupa to respond more quickly to business requests. The redesigned form incorporates 15 sub-form types and leverages advanced GT eForms capabilities\, including visual IF conditions\, dynamic field initialization from the data pool\, multiple approval paths & steps\, and automated voucher creation for inclusion in pay cycles. \n  \nFollowing this\, we will showcase a contingent worker payment request form that further utilizes GT eForms functionality which replaced a highly manual\, spreadsheet-driven\, and time-sensitive workflow. Attendees will see how GT eForms introduced standardized submissions\, pre-populated grids\, query links\, and embedded validation steps within approval paths—significantly reducing errors and improving efficiency. \n  \nThis session is ideal for organizations seeking to modernize financial processes and maximize the value of their PeopleSoft environment. \n

SUMMARY:Replacing Legacy Applications with Integrated PeopleSoft Processes at Univ of Oklahoma
DESCRIPTION:University of Oklahoma’s legacy Service Unit Billing application would soon become harder to support. Already being PeopleSoft users\, the question was\, could they use PeopleSoft to replace the functionality of highly customized external applications? With GT’s help\, they answered that question with a resounding “Yes!” \nJoin us to find out how OU and GT leveraged vanilla functionality and a tightly-scoped design to deploy the PeopleSoft Accounts Receivable and Billing modules to the external billing team in just 10 weeks\, retiring custom applications and reducing manual effort and technical debt.

SUMMARY:Troubleshooting PeopleSoft Performance: Five Costly Mistakes and the ‘Mechanic Mindset' That Helps You Fix Them
DESCRIPTION:Troubleshooting PeopleSoft Performance:\nFive Costly PeopleSoft Mistakes and the ‘Mechanic Mindset’ That Helps You Fix Them\n\nWhen PeopleSoft performance suffers\, users feel it first: slow login times\, unresponsive pages\, confusing error messages\, etc. But when it’s time to troubleshoot\, even experienced teams can get lost in the weeds of log files\, server layers\, and cloudy assumptions about where the problem originates.\n\n\nThis session exposes costly pitfalls: chasing the wrong log\, presuming infrastructure is sound\, and skipping basics. We’ll emphasize clear user input\, architecture awareness\, and the discipline to start at the beginning\, applying an old-school mechanic’s mindset: check assumptions and test fundamentals. Drawing on years supporting education\, government\, and corporate environments\, we’ll teach you to spot patterns\, avoid rabbit holes\, and navigate PeopleSoft’s logging.\n\n\nWe’ll apply an old-school problem-solving mindset to a high-tech platform\, because systems tend to break in predictable ways. You’ll leave with a practical troubleshooting framework you can use immediately to improve uptime\, responsiveness\, and your team’s ability to solve the right problems faster.

SUMMARY:Stay Vanilla\, Look Modern: Reimagining YOUR PeopleSoft UX
DESCRIPTION:PeopleTools provides a powerful set of capabilities to create an engaging\, efficient\, and intuitive user experience\, and this session will show how to make the most of them. \nThe University of California recently completed a transformative project that fully leveraged delivered PeopleTools features and Gideon Taylor’s WebUX techniques to personalize content based on each employee’s role\, responsibilities\, and circumstances. No additional system layer was required\, just thoughtful design\, optimized configuration\, and a focus on minimizing clicks while maximizing usability. \nThis initiative not only elevated the user experience but also simplified the technical environment. By consolidating functionality and streamlining the interface\, the team was able to retire legacy systems\, resulting in measurable savings in operating costs and maintenance. In just a few months\, the project demonstrated how a PeopleTools environment can deliver a sleek\, app-like interface while staying true to delivered features. If you want to see how to unlock the full potential of PeopleTools UX\, this session is for you.

SUMMARY:Guest Users are People Too: Enabling Secure External Participation in eForms
DESCRIPTION:Curious about enabling guest access in GT eForms? In this webinar\, we’ll break down what it takes to set up guest access for the first time\, including the typical timeline\, who needs to be involved\, and how to avoid common configuration missteps. We’ll explore the limitations and “gotchas” of creating a public-facing form experience\, share real-world examples of how clients are successfully leveraging guest access\, and show where guest users can appear throughout a workflow. Plus\, we’ll clarify the often-confusing topic of when tokens are required (like for evaluate and update actions) and when they aren’t (typically for add actions). Whether you’re just starting or fine-tuning your implementation\, this session will give you the insights you need to make informed decisions. \nPresenter: Jay Jorgensen \nSpeakers: Alisha Malcarne and Lynette Chaudoin

SUMMARY:Language Placement eForms Help in Correct Course Placement for Students
DESCRIPTION:Trisha Chuplis\, Academic Relationship Manager and Chuck Thayer\, ERP Systems Specialist for Students at The College of the Holy Cross built 8 language placements eForms\, one for each language the college offers.  The eForms will be used by all students to determine their correct placement for a specific language course\, which is a prerequisite for graduation. \nThe forms varied in requirements and could include the student having to take an exam\, answering questions about their background with a specific language\, or uploading an essay/video attachment to demonstrate their knowledge of the language. \nIn a desire to automate this manual process and due to the sunsetting of the application used for their current placement exams\, The College of the Holy Cross undertook this challenge as their very first GT eForm build.  Their demo will highlight the Spanish Placement eForm\, which is the most used language on campus. The Spanish Placement eForm features an exam page that could be required based on the student’s previous knowledge of the language.  We will also explore the use of: \n\nLogic to place via questionnaire or open form for student to take the placement exam.\nAn exam timer visible on the form page which counts down the student of the time limit to complete the exam and forces submission after the time limit expires.\nCalculation of the exam score based on the student’s current answers.\nUse of code to place a student in a course based on the Test Scores ranges set up in PeopleSoft.\nAutomated process of notifying the registrar of the prerequisite courses to assign to the student.\n\nWebinar will be recorded and sent to all who register.
